# What is NexiAgent and who makes it?

NexiAgent is an AI assistant service for businesses: one assistant answers the calls to your phone number and the other replies in the chat on your website. It is made by ISEGTEC, LDA, a company based in Porto, Portugal, and runs on NexiChat's artificial intelligence, built by the same company.

## The two assistants

- **Call answering** — answers on your current number (forwarded) or on a new one, books appointments within your opening hours, takes messages with name, contact and reason, and transfers to your team when needed. [Learn more](https://nexiagent.com/en/solutions/scheduler)
- **24/7 support chat** — answers on your website from your own documents, hands hard cases to a person on your team and keeps the full history. [Learn more](https://nexiagent.com/en/solutions/support)

You can have either one or both. Each is a separate subscription, with its own plan and its own allowance.

## How they work

- They answer only from the information you give them: opening hours, services, prices, conditions. If something is not there, they say they don't know and offer to pass the message on.
- When asked, they say they are an AI assistant.
- They answer in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French.
- Everything lands in your panel: conversations, calls, bookings, messages and your plan usage.

## Who sets it up

When you subscribe you choose: our team sets everything up for you (optional installation, €249 + VAT, once) or you set it up in the panel with a step-by-step guide, at no installation cost. ## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need both assistants?

No. You can subscribe to call answering only or to the support chat only. Each has its own plans and its own included allowance.

### Does the assistant replace my team?

The assistant handles routine questions, messages and requests. Your team keeps handling the cases that need a person.

### Is NexiAgent related to Nexi Group?

No. NexiAgent has no relationship with Nexi Group / Nexi S.p.A. (payments, nexi.it). Our domains are listed on the security page.
